Basic and Experienced Courses now TCLEOSE Credit approved for Law Enforcement!

 (BRC - 16 hours / ERC - 8 hours)

 

 

Advantage Motorcycle Training (AMT) is a locally owned and operated business that is very dedicated to teaching individuals basic and advanced riding skills that are essential to motorcycle riders.  We are contracted by the Texas Department of Public Safety Motorcycle Safety Unit and we are a certified and approved sponsor by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.  All instructors at AMT are certified in the state of Texas to teach this curriculum.

We could go on and on with questions like these.  If you don’t already have motorcycle riding experience, we recommend that you do not go out and purchase a motorcycle without taking the motorcycle safety course first.  Taking the Basic Rider Course will help you make an informed decision about whether or not motorcycling is for you.  Whether you are a experienced motorcyclist or a beginner, we firmly  believe you should have the knowledge and skills taught in our courses to help keep you safe on the roads.

Without getting into too much detail, here are some things we cover:

Basic Rider Course 

Risk awareness, acceptance & management, personal protective gear, controls & basic riding skill information, street strategies such as being visible, common riding situations, maximum braking & swerving, special situations and impairment.

Experienced Rider Course

Advanced quick stops, limited-space maneuvers, cornering, quick swerving and avoidance techniques and emergency braking for curves.
